Donna Sollima, R.N.
FOUNDER
Donna Sollima is a graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington and the Registered Nursing program at El Camino College in Torrance, California. After graduation, she became an intern and was immediately hired by Bay Harbor Hospital.
In 1987 after twelve-hour shifts in the operating rooms, Donna began freelancing on her days off with top cosmetic surgeons in Beverly Hills. After only a year the demand for Donna’s services was so great that she entered the field full-time with Norman Leaf, M.D., and soon after, Athleo Cambre, M.D. who would become her longtime medical director. Their personal touch with patients and passion for their work was an inspiration and a growing experience as Donna began to acquire hundreds of skincare patients.
During her nursing career, Donna also worked with Christina Carlino, inventor of the “micro peel” which popularized the technique of dermaplaning. Ms. Carlino is also the creator and founder of Philosophy Inc., one of the most sought-after brands in cosmetics. She became a mentor for Donna and gave her the hands-on training to do all the peels, procedures, and methodologies necessary to run a top-quality skincare practice.
Companies like Collagen Corporation (precursor to Allergan, Inc.) called on Donna for special training, and her work with Botox, Juvederm, and Latisse earned her Platinum Status with the Allergan Corporation. She was also a board member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists and remains actively involved today in this elite group of industry leaders. Donna firmly believes in continued research and keeping up with the latest techniques and products available – it is easy to see why patients keep coming back to her and referring their family, friends, and colleagues.
Donna is a mother to two boys who follow their mother’s love for riding Harleys as well as an affinity for the sun and surf. Donna remembers, “I didn’t start to protect my skin until I was 36…I’m proof there is hope for everyone. We don’t settle for ‘hope’ in our skincare clinic- we help people of all ages make their beauty dreams come true.”

MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Bedford Skincare Clinic is honored to feature Athleo Louis Cambre, M.D. as the Medical Director of the practice. Donna Sollima, R.N. considers Dr. Cambre to be a friend, colleague, teacher, role model, and trusted confidant. The two first worked together in the 1980s in Beverly Hills and found a common philosophy: providing the best care and service to patients as well as remaining dedicated to keeping up on the latest in products and procedures surrounding medicine and skincare.
Dr. Athleo Cambre graduated with Honors from Stanford University, obtaining a degree in Human Biology. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a five-year post-doctoral residency training in General Surgery at the University of Colorado. He followed up with a Burn Fellowship at New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Cambre then came home to Southern California to conclude his postgraduate training with a two-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. Today, Dr. Cambre continues his ties to UCLA as he contributes to the advancement of his specialty field as an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the UCLA/Olive Medical Center.
A renowned physician in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and the greater Los Angeles area, Dr. Cambre is a board-certified surgeon and plastic surgeon. He was listed in Los Angeles Magazine as one of Southern California’s “Super Doctors” in 2011 based on recognition from his peers.
Dr. Cambre has been frequently invited to lecture to his colleagues at medical meetings and conferences where he graciously shares his experience and expertise. He has also authored or co-authored a number of publications in the surgical literature. In the mainstream media, Dr. Cambre has been a featured expert television guest in a number of appearances including NBC News, Fox News, Discovery Health, and Good Day L.A.
